Port Columbus International Airport (Ohio, Us.) has undertaken a technological update with the incorporation of 10 Touchscreen kiosks that can provide weather information, restaurants, Accommodation and other services. The kiosks, developed by Meridian, Hansen Creative and HP, are equipped with 42 inches that can display information from inside and outside the airport.

Just in time for the holiday holidays, Port Columbus International Airport is deploying a fleet of new touchscreen information kiosks aimed at enhancing airport orientation signs and helping connect passengers to their destinations and experiences in the State of Ohio. Through a collaboration between the kiosk manufacturer Meridian, The Digital Design Consultant Hansen Creative and the computer hardware specialist Hewlett-Packard, have been installed 10 Interactive kiosks in the pre- and post-security areas on the airport concourses, in the ticket area and baggage claim area.

The kiosks are equipped with 42 inches that can display information from inside and outside the airport. Each kiosk offers easy access to an airport directory of food and retail options complete with hours of operation and directions. Kiosks will also allow travelers to print or access information through their mobile device via a QR code or URL..

blankFlexible touchscreen capability allows travelers to quickly access other kiosk functions, as weather forecasts, A photo taking tool with the option to add a fun border or email them to friends, and connect to points and events of interest through community partners ExerienceColumbus and DiscoverOhio. A telephone placed on the side of the kiosks will connect to the information desk in the baggage claim area or at the airport communications center.

With enhanced location technology, Our goal is to make getting around the airport a little easier just when many are already preparing for a 'movidita' holiday season.”
