The multinational audio and entertainment Harman International has signed an agreement with The Duchossois Group and its subsidiaries to acquire AMX LLC for 365 million dollars (267,5 million euros), reinforcing its proposal to the business sector in audio and video distribution, switching, automation and control.

The purchase transaction on the part of Harman International Industries of AMX LLCAfter closing the Agreement The Duchossois Group and its affiliates, is subject to applicable regulatory approvals and closing conditions.

As he has pointed out the President and CEO of Harman, Dinesh C. Paliwal, explaining this operation, "our company is a leader in intelligent connectivity and vision is to expand our reach beyond the car, towards the business sector, where we have a presence of substantial audio. AMX is the world leader in automation and control technology in the enterprise, as well as switching and distribution of audio and video. With his addition, Harman will be in a unique position to provide complete audio, video, lighting and automation solutions for our customers worldwide."

The proprietary hardware and software solutions of AMX, company founded in 1982 based in Richardson (Texas), simplify the way in which people interact with technology and are present in around the world in a wide variety of companies and locations, such as conference rooms, hotels, classrooms, command centers, entertainment venues and broadcast broadcast centers. AMX has a staff of six hundred people, distributed in 19 locations all over the world.

Under the terms of the agreement, AMX will be integrated into the professional division of Harman, along with brands such as AKG Acoustics, BSS Audio, amplifiers Crown, DBX, JBL Professional, Lexicon, Soundcraft, Studer and Martin Lighting.
