On the first floor of the Reus Gaudí Centre three projectors have been installed laser 3LCD Sony VPL-FHZ55 that help to transport the Viewer to the Reus Modernista period, focusing on the legacy that Lluís Domènech i Montaner left in the Catalan city.
The Gaudí Center Reus the year 2007 was opened in the artist's hometown to pay homage to Antoni Gaudí, being the only Center of interpretation of the life and work of genius.
This Center is divided into three floors. The first floor is focused on introducing the modernist heritage of Reus and a key figure of the Art Noveau, Lluís Domènech i Montaner. In the second it gives to know in depth to Gaudí and his works through Mills, games and interactive demos. And the third focuses on an audiovisual show multi-display with sensory and tactile models.
The Gaudí Centre required the renovation of one of the three floors of the Centre, in particular the first plant, modernism and the city of Reus. Of an audiovisual projection needed immersive and envelope for the Viewer, reducing maintenance requirements arising from the use of common projectors lamp, at the time that increased the quality of image.
It was a flexible and stable AV solution that will focus on the quality of image, with low costs of installation and also, to offer lower costs of maintenance than previous Projectors.
As already is published in Digital AV Magazine, was chosen for the realization of this project of remodeling, in tender, to Sono as an integrator, not being the first time that this company was involved in the activities of the Museum since in 2007 was also responsible for the audiovisual project of this cultural space.
For the projection of a video about modernism, the legacy of modernist architecture in Reus, and, more specifically, on the extensive work of Lluís Domènech i Montaner, Sono opted to install three projectors laser 3LCD Sony VPL-FHZ55, that fit with the needs of the Centre in terms of image quality, low maintenance and reliability. This model offers advantages in the performance of the computer and eliminates the problems of traditional projection lamps.
Projector VPL-FHZ55 offers up to 20,000 hours of useful life, virtually maintenance free, combining high picture quality, low cost of operation and a lasting image brightness for the Art Center.
According to Sony, the benefit provided by this team to the Gaudí Centre is that they won't have to replace the new projectors light source in almost ten years, providing them with less hassle and maintenance costs while also providing them an innovative and reliable AV solution.
