Riedel's Mediornet and RockNet to debut at ISE 2011
MediorNet offers a completely new approach to signal transport over fiber for production environments, providing significant savings on infrastructure investments. RockNet proposes a network audio distribution solution, in real time, and at low latency.
Riedel Communications will present its solution for signal transport over fiber MediorNet and the RockNet digital audio network at ISE 2011 which will take place in Amsterdam 1 al 3 February. MediorNet is not just a simple point-to-point link, but offers a complete real network solution, including signal routing, allowing the user to send any input signal to any output, or even to several exits, with just one click of the mouse or, the most convenient, by a router control system. Each MediorNet central unit offers a router for 720p/1080i signals 32×32, 160×160 SD-SDI, 27.000 x27,000 AES or any combination of these. MediorNet also includes broadcast-quality processing and conversion. These features, being software based, could easily expand in the future without any hardware changes. Ultimately, this will eliminate the need for external devices. All of this leads to a completely new approach to production environments, providing significant savings on infrastructure investments.
RockNet As for RockNet, Riedel proposes a network audio distribution solution, in real time, and at low latency. Provides a universal solution for almost any audio distribution challenge imaginable, behaving similarly to an active analog split system. Transmit up to 160 24bit/48kHz audio channels on a CAT5 cable. Based on a redundant ring topology, RockNet forma una red auto-gestionada, no audio loss in the event of a connection failure between two devices. RockNet equipment comes in rugged, reinforced steel cases and features locking IEC connectors for redundant power supplies.. The rest of the connectors are completely gold plated. Its circuit reduces any noise and distortion, thus satisfying the highest demands in audio quality. RockNet offers a dynamic range of up to 118 dB and guarantees a high signal-to-noise ratio, as well as minimal distortion.
