Indra awards RPG the visualization system for the Malaga Metro control center
The Spanish technology multinational Indra has awarded RPG, company that provides comprehensive audiovisual and technological interior design solutions, the installation of the visualization system for the command and control room of the Malaga Metro.
Málaga Metro has completed its move to the new offices located in the Los Asperones workshops and garages building, which houses the company's central command and control post and corporate headquarters. The building has a constructed area of approximately 2.000 square meters that are divided into two floors. This property is responsible for housing the command and control post room., which is the basic management point of the entire metro network, and the bulk of offices with administrative use, financial and operational.
The command and control room is especially important as it is the place from where all activities related to the infrastructure are controlled., and from where the operators will manage the rail traffic of the Malaga metropolitan route. For this reason, Indra has trusted RPG for the supply and installation of this ambitious display system that consists of a large DLP video wall equipped with the new state-of-the-art LED technology from Planar.
The lines will be controlled from this center 1 y 2 of the Málaga Metro that have a total length of 14 kilometers, including the common section between Renfe and La Malagueta, and will consist of 20 stations. Its route runs through the most densely populated area of Malaga (Cádiz and Cruz del Humilladero Highway District); the city center (where the María Zambrano railway station is located), and the area of new equipment and services of metropolitan interest (Universidad, Clinical Hospital and City of Justice).
