The new Gefen DVI-3600HD extends DVI, USB 2.0, RS-232 and analog audio up to 2.000 metros
The digital connectivity solutions provider, The edge, has launched the new DVI-3600HD extender, that extends multiple AV -DVI signals, USB 2.0, RS-232 and analog audio- via fiber optic cable for easy setup of remote workstations.
The edge has announced the launch of its new KVM extender (keyboard, video, mouse). The DVI-3600HD comes with a rack-mount transmitter and receiver equipped with DVI ports., USB, RS-232 and analog audio. When you connect to a local computer and a remote workstation, The DVI-3600HD offers high resolution video (1920×1200) in DVI format, up to four USB peripherals, like keyboard/mouse, printer, camera and hard drive, RS-232 automation or control and analog audio from sender to receiver. Distances of up to 2000 meters over a single-mode fiber optic cable. The use of multi-mode fiber optic cable will reach distances of up to 500 m.
Because USB peripherals can be connected to both local locations (transmitter) as remote (receptor), Users can set up two distant workstations and switch between the two. When in local mode, the computer has access to a maximum of two USB devices connected to the sending unit. When in remote mode, recognizes up to four USB devices connected to the receiving unit. A switch on the front panel of the transmitter controls local and remote operating modes.
Local and virtual EDID ensures consistent signal synchronization, even when delivering multiple signals at up to 2000 meters away.
