Panasonic's PT-DZ21K supports the Liceu of Barcelona to surprise with a daring scenography
The Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona has used a Panasonic PT-DZ21K projector for the performance of 'Rusalka', Dvorák's most popular opera in a modern staging by the Norwegian set designer Stefan Herheim.
During the last month, Opera fans have been able to attend the performance at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona of the production 'Rusalka', the best-known work of Czech composer Antonin Dvorak, in a very particular version - modern and groundbreaking- by the Norwegian set designer Stefan Herheim. In order to highlight the particular scenography of this representation of 'Rusalka', The Liceu was looking for a high-end projector with enough power and quality to show all the nuances of Herheim's ambitious production.. Through the audiovisual events and shows production company BAF, and with the advice of Earpro, opted for the PT-DZ21K projector Panasonic, which has DLP technology 3 chips and powerful luminosity 20.000 ANSI lumens, with WUXGA resolution at 1.920 x 1.200 pixels in a compact and lightweight body (62cm x 29,1cm x 80cm y peso de 50Kg).
Besides, The projector features an extensive lamp replacement cycle of up to 2.000 hours and has 3D compatibility, which makes it ideal for large event applications and stages such as the Gran Teatre del Liceu, and for rental and staging in spaces that require easy handling. Also included are features such as a 4 lamps, Panasonic exclusive, at 465W UHM, to achieve clear images and allow projection on large screens, Installation flexibility with different types of optional lenses, a geometric adjustment function and network capacity.
Also, The PT-DZ21K comes equipped with a lens memory function that adjusts image size and location to up to three projection positions and the mechanical shutter can be programmed to fade in and out image during show transitions.. The device incorporates integrated Edge Blending, as well as multi-unit brightness control for projections on large screens and surfaces to create an immersive experience, and portrait mode compatibility, which allows the projector to be rotated horizontally to reproduce images vertically.
