WHEREAS 2013 will mark the premiere of Sharp's new line of high-end professional LCD monitors
Sharp will take advantage of its presence at ISE 2013 to launch the new LCD screen of 90 inches PN-R903, with the intention that its LED technology and its 1080p resolution will give another twist to traditional advertising panels., as well as two other models for smaller environments: to PN-R603 of 60 inches and the PN-R703 of 70″.
ISE is the largest meeting of specialists in the professional monitor sector and the edition of 2013 It will be the fifth time Sharp be present at this event (Hall 11, Stand F78) y, on this occasion, The Japanese company will take advantage of the occasion to present its new high-end professional LCD monitors. This new line includes the PN-R603 screen 60 inches and the PN-R703 of 70 inches, as well as the PN-R903 model, the first LCD monitor 90 inches from the market.
Despite its size, the screens are light, thinner and more energy efficient than traditional LCD screens and offer 1920 Full HD resolution×1080. With a luminosity of 700 cd/m2, its ability to process billions of colors, versatile connectivity and the option to install them both horizontally and vertically, offers professional users the greatest flexibility to make installations more attractive.
Darren Gaffey, Product Planning and Marketing Manager for Sharp Visual Solutions, has expressed: “We see an increase in demand for large screens, and we have focused on adjusting the weight, energy consumption and thickness of the screens to facilitate installation and make them more efficient in operation. This new range demonstrates how far we have managed to go with our improvements in recent years.. For example, the screen of 90 inches is thin, with little more than 12 cm at thickest point, and integrates local dimming technology that reduces energy consumption by up to half, while showing beautiful quality images that invite you to get closer and touch them”.
Local dimming
All three new displays feature Sharp's UV2A LCD technology, which improves response speed, viewing angle and deliver exceptionally deep black and bright, vivid colors. Contrast ratio is further improved with local dimming (available only on model PN-R903). This dims a group of specific LEDs in an area of the screen where the image is dark. As a result, the black level is deeper and reaches an extremely high contrast ratio of 1.000.000:1. Local dimming also significantly reduces energy consumption..
The powerful luminosity of 700 cd/m2 is the key requirement for customers who need to use the monitors in a high light level environment. This luminosity performance, together with the great clarity of the images and vivid colors, makes the screens offer wide installation possibilities in indoor or semi-indoor environments, such as shopping centers, airports and public transport centers, commercial premises, receptions, interior patios, and much more.
“The option to install displays in landscape or portrait mode offers greater flexibility in building an immersive digital signage system. An example is fashion stores., where with a screen 2 meters the image of a person can be displayed in real size so that fashionable outfits are seen with greater impact. When you see this type of content, It is really impressive and I know it will help many clients to catch the attention of consumers”, Gaffey added.
These three new screens offer extensive connectivity options: DVI-I inputs, DisplayPort, HDMI (x2), Audio (x2), Analog RGB yRS-232C, as well as DVI-D outputs, DisplayPort y Audio. They also incorporate RS-232C in/out and LAN to control the screen remotely.
