Schneider Electric participates with access control solutions for hotels in the V KNX Congress
Schneider Electric participates with its management and control solutions for hotels in the V KNX Congress, a benchmark in building automation technologies that is celebrated from 26 al 27 June in Barcelona.
In it V KNX Congress, which will have presentations and an exhibition area, Schneider Electric will present its new access control KNX for hotels, that uses RFID technology, thanks to which the devices detect the cards just by approaching them.
Installation management with this system is based on three components: readers located at the entrances to rooms or common areas that, When you bring a coded card closer they open the door; card retainers placed inside the rooms that enable the different room services depending on the user (customer, cleaning service, maintenance,…); the software that manages and saves all system information (occupied rooms, reserved, cleaning earrings, etc.) and monitoring and supervision services.
Another novelty is the KNX interface for consumption meters, which, thanks to the ModBus interface, is capable of reading values of up to 32 Schneider Electric meters and gas or water measurement values via SIM10 meters with digital inputs.
All measured and stored values can be displayed on a KNX BMS system or with other display systems, like See-Home remote control, a KNX application that allows you to control lighting in real time, air conditioning or security systems from a smartphone or tablet (Android o iOS).
Besides, Alberto Pizarro, responsible for Innovation and Standardization at Schneider Electric and president of CEDOM, will give a presentation during the congress on legislation and regulations applicable to home automation and building automation systems; and Javier Hernandez, company KNX product manager, will address consumption measurement using KNX technology.
