Mirko Scaletti assumes the management of Panasonic Spain and Portugal, replacing Vicente Sánchez
Panasonic has named Mirko Scaletti, until now marketing manager of the Spanish subsidiary, as general director of the company for Spain and Portugal, replacing Vicente Sánchez.
The Japanese technology multinational Panasonic has reported through a statement the appointment of Mirko Scaletti as general director of the Iberian subsidiary, replacing Vicente Sánchez, with the objective of “achieving optimization of the company's resources in Spain, promoting those key segments for the Spanish and Portuguese market”.
In this sense, The current marketing director of Panasonic in Spain will now be responsible as top manager of the Iberian subsidiary in the strategic development to expand the distribution of those ranges with the greatest growth and strengthen key segments in these markets, like television, wireless telephony, photographic cameras, audio, white range and personal care.
For this, Scaletti has pointed out that “Panasonic's challenge is to continue consolidating its share in Spain as the third brand in the consumer electronics sector.”, and that its priorities include “enhancing dialogue with distribution companies that have the capacity to sell valuable products to the consumer such as those offered by Panasonic”.
The new general director of Panasonic in Spain and Portugal brings extensive experience in the white goods and electronics sector, after working for more than eighteen years at the North American company Whirlpool, at Panasonic's EMEA headquarters and from 2011 as marketing manager of the Spanish subsidiary.
