SSE Audio Group has installed the system PA L-Acoustics Kara as a project of long term rentals in this Centenary London Theatre 2,286 seating capacity.
The iconic Palladium London, a theatre which was built more than a hundred years ago in the West Ent neighbourhood in the city of Westminster, has renovated its sound infrastructure, incorporating a public address system. "It is a beautiful theatre with more than a hundred years old that needed a solution that sounds well and will adapt to the environment", explains Spencer Phillips, Group Head of Venue Sales and Marketing at Really Useful Theatres Group.
To achieve their goals, we opted to use technology from L-Acoustics in a long-term rental facility, since the Palladium so you can optimize your infrastructure without having to make a large investment of capital. The company SSE Audio Group He was selected for the supply and integration of the solution.
In this Centenary theatre there are three levels of seats, which make up a total of 2.286: the patio of armchairs, the Royal circle and upper circle. In order to provide a uniform coverage in all space 9 L-Acoustics Kara systems have been installed in the first two levels and six are suspended in the area of the upper circle. A compact coaxial enclosure 8XT has hung ceiling to give coverage to the back of each area. A structure that is completed with two cabinets ARCS and other four 8XT found hidden behind the grills.
Four subwoofers SB18 from French manufacturer are flown in the front truss and a total of eight SB28s are distributed under the stage, two on each side of the proscenium stage to provide the necessary coverage.
The system is powered by fourteen amplifiers LA8, with a routing, processing and control system delivered through a DriveRack SSE, made to measure, which includes a Lake Processors located in the mix position in the front.
This solution also integrates a digital mixing console Avid Venue Profile with an Avid Stage Box unit for entries. SSE has installed a series of multiple-core options from the stage to the FOH including BNC, CAT5, fiber and analog connection to respond to the needs of the travels of the consoles.
