Toshiba provides new capabilities to its smart glasses applied to the industrial sector
In collaboration with Ubimax, has developed three solutions (xMake, xInspect y xAssist) that aim to improve the productivity of workers using both the dynaEdge and the Toshiba AR100 Viewer glasses.
Toshiba has announced the launch of three vertical solutions for its new dynaEdge miniPC device, to which smart augmented reality glasses are connected.
These solutions, called xMake, xInspect y xAssist, have been developed by Toshiba and Ubimax, company specialized in this type of development and with which the Japanese company has signed a strategic collaboration agreement for this segment of activity.
The goal of the new developments is to improve the productivity of workers using both the dynaEdge and the Toshiba AR100 Viewer glasses.
In this sense, xMake software shows the steps they have to follow in the workers' own line of sight, either in manufacturing processes, mounting, repair or quality testing. For your part, xInspect allows employees to view useful information while having their hands free to perform any other task. A maintenance worker can fix a mechanism while having the circuit diagram in his line of sight..
Finally, The xAssist program connects the worker with a remote communication expert to guide them in their repair or maintenance process. This feature can be used independently or in conjunction with xMake and xInspect.
These are the first solutions that Ubimax has designed for use with the Windows operating system, as Toshiba's dynaEdge is the first smartglasses solution to run on Windows 10.
