Stratacache buys Popscreens

Stratacache continues with its procurement policy. The latest has been the comprehensive manufacturing company of smart tablets and computing devices based in Ningbo (China) Popscreens.

As part of the acquisition, The acquired company has been renamed Scala China, Strategy that aims to strengthen the visibility of the solution and the presence of the brand in the global commercial market. On the other hand, Another objective is to introduce its solution for interactive displays within the Stratacache family for the retail market.

Acquisition Increases Stratacache's Expansion in the Asia-Pacific Region and Reinforces Commitment to the Brand Scala, after his Acquisition in August 2016.

Scala China will continue to produce embedded computing devices 7 to 98 Inch. “These devices are ideal for permanent commercial use in interactive environments with consumer participation, as retail stores, games, Hospitality & Banking. With more than 8.000 Scala customers worldwide, We will help expand opportunities in many strategic markets and customer partnerships”, comments Patrick Saletta, Director of Operations.

As part of the acquisition, The new infrastructure includes a manufacturing plant for 23.226 square meters and more than 125 employees, with research and development departments, Large-scale production and manufacturing lines, and design and software engineers with extensive experience in the Rockchip platform, A core element of touchscreen smart devices.

It also has a new support and logistics center and a network operations center based in China., that optimize customer services throughout the region and are key factors in Stratacache's growth plan that wants to reach in 2020 to sales of one billion dollars. Acquisition drives significant increase in number of jobs, even in marketing teams, development, engineering, Accounting and Global Support, both at Dayton headquarters and operations facilities.
