Romania launches EU presidency with Aracast digital signage
Sixty Aracast players make up this digital system, to play HTML5 content on a professional monitor channel, that are installed in different rooms of the building.
Since the beginning of 2019 and for the next six months, Romania has taken over from Austria to assume the presidency of the Council of the European Union, for which it has renovated some of its institutional buildings.
As part of this process, The Romanian Parliament has selected the platform Aracast Digital Signage, Spanish company brand Tecco, as a digital signage system that has been installed in the Romanian parliament palace, located in Bucharest, which is currently the second largest building of its type in the world, after the Pentagon in Washington DC (USA).
The digital signage system is made up of sixty compact, high-performance, low-consumption devices from Aracast, that play HTML5 content on a channel of professional monitors, distributed in the different rooms of the building, including the gallery of honor of the palace.
The management of the content displayed on the screens is carried out from a centralized operator station, whose sending to the Aracast players is carried out through a dedicated WiFi network.
The Parliament of Romania uses this digital communication channel to inform about the political and cultural events that will be held during the six months of the European presidency, in addition to promoting content with the values of the European Union in terms of cohesion, coexistence, security, etc.
