Lamar Airport Advertising has replaced static advertising and traditional poster banners, that was in the baggage area of the Terminal 1 of the McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, by 60 Engage displays and Performance Series of NanoLumens.

"After careful review we saw that the return on investment was very real., which convinced us to carry out a complete renovation of the advertising screens of the baggage area to respond to the needs of our advertisers in the coming years. Lamar partnered with us to make the project a reality.", comments Rosemary Vassiliadis, director of McCarran International Airport.

Those needs, according to Brig Newman, Vice President and Senior Director, Airports for Lamar, They include a greater commitment to advertising in addition to being able to change content faster and in real time. “Traveling travelers and consumers are immersed in the digital world. Respond to advertised ads digitally as they never would to static graphics. It's a generational shift that's here to stay.. Our advertisers understand change and want to be able to leverage it in their campaigns, with audience analysis and targeted messaging”.

Recent studies by Arbitron and Capital Networks highlight that consumers are engaging more and more often with digitally served ads than with static ones.. In addition, according to the Outdoor Advertising Association of America (OAAA), of the top hundred OOH advertisers, 37 doubled their spending on digital ads.

"Most of the advertising Lamar had in that area had to be constantly updated., as shows and events in Las Vegas change frequently. Removing static posters and signs and placing new ones was an additional cost for Lamar advertisers.. With NanoLumens Led screens, Lamar offers its clients a digital advertising platform whose content can be changed instantly to meet the needs of its advertisers”, comments Dave Merlino, Vice President of Sales for NanoLumens.

The local Las Vegas integrator, Vision Sign, was in charge of this installation and opted for the NanoLumens screens for her. “There is plenty of ambient light coming in through the surrounding windows in this baggage claim area of the Terminal 1 and their Led screens were the ideal option. Lamar Advertising wanted to bring the space to life and the shift from static ads to NanoLumens screens did exactly that.”, clarifies Jeff Quintana, Vice President of Vision Sign.

Lamar and Vision Sign also had to deal with the problem of providing the power needed to run the 60 screens and find a space at the airport where to install a rack system that will be responsible for feeding all the content that is sent to the screens. Lamar hired OSSI to design and install the software platform that runs this digital signage system, who designed and manages the NOC that powers all digital signage at McCarran.

the 60 NanoLumens displays were divided into a variety of sizes and types, and were installed around the baggage claim area of the Terminal 1 by McCarran.

Six Performance models of 4 mm are installed on the walls and measure 19.5×2,7 metre, while four others of 9.7×2,7 and two of 9.7×1,5 meters are suspended. All of them rotate with the contents of a fixed list of advertisers, information that is replicated to the Terminal 3 from the airport.

We're back on the map with this iconic installation and our advertisers are excited to be a part of this high-impact greeting.”, Newman said.

the 44 Remaining NanoLumens displays, all from the Engage series, have been installed in vertical format and are located on the columns surrounding the baggage claim area or are located on top of baggage carousels. There's 22 Engage series displays from 2,5 mm and measures 1,5×3,9 metre, that have been mounted on the columns, while eight others, In the form of more banner have been placed on the smaller columns, where the ceiling is a little lower.
