Biamp positions itself in the AVPro market with the purchase of Community Loudspeakers and Apart Audio
The solutions of the acquired firms will join Biamp as product families within the company's portfolio. An integration that will be carried out gradually until forming a single business.
The Beaverton-based provider of professional audio and video solutions (Oregon), Biamp, has announced the acquisition of Audioprof Group International, parent company of Community Loudspeakers, based in Philadelphia (Pennsylvania), and the Belgian firm Apart Audio.
“Building a full line of speakers has been one of my priorities as Biamp positions itself as a full line provider of professional audiovisual solutions.. The acquisition of speakers from Apart Audio and Community Loudspeakers is a strategic step to achieve this, with strong and respected brands. The large number of products added to our portfolio allows us to occupy a prominent position in different key markets for us., like retail, hospitality, restoration, stadiums and outdoor facilities. With this operation, Biamp has established itself as a leader in the market for professional audiovisual systems”, comments Rashid Skaf, President and CEO of Biamp.
Founded in 1968 by Bruce Howze, Community Loudspeakers has a long history in speaker design and today is a manufacturer that has a wide range of high quality, whose solutions are intended for demanding indoor and outdoor applications, including commercial premises, leisure, stadiums and other large venues.
In the last edition of InfoComm, Community Loudspeakers presented the new Beamforming Venue Horn LVH-900 from the L Series, continuing its tradition of innovation.
Apart Audio is a strong competitor in audio solutions for commercial and leisure environments, for small and medium spaces, including the retail environment, food service, education and small offices.
Offers a wide range of speakers, as well as amplifiers, mixers, controllers and search radio stations.
Apart Audio has a well-established business in Europe and has just entered North America in 2018, a market where Biamp's extensive distribution system can provide a big boost.
