After testing the digital signage solutions of LG Business Solutions and ADFlow in a Nebraska store, the self-service chain Fareway has brought this experience to the 125 establishments you have in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota. A project expected to be completed by the middle of this year.

The goal of this self-service chain was to transform the original store concept and offer a modern shopping experience., improved and attractive, using digital signage that engages and informs customers.

For this, visual supports were needed in which to show dynamic content, pricing and sales information, as well as offering pairing suggestions and health data that can guide in the selection of products.

Fareway was looking for a digital signage solution that could be updated in real time. Exhibitors would have to accurately and clearly display the colors and details needed to showcase fresh and attractive produce., with updates and product news that will catch the eye. And most importantly, the screens would have to be connected for quick and easy operation from a central location.

The implementation of this interactive digital signage solution has been commissioned by ADFlow, member company of Daktronics, and for its execution the 55SM5KE screens of LG Business Solutions have been used.

In traditional grocery store environments, the guest experience is often hampered by outdated approaches, such as printed and handwritten posters in uninspiring formats. Fareway was determined to use large, eye-catching screens that provided clear, bright images.. This would ensure that shoppers receive the same viewing experience., regardless of the location within the store.

The screens would also save Fareway staff a lot of time and effort., freeing up more time to tackle other tasks.

Initially, Fareway installed LG's digital signage displays behind the butcher's counter at the Nebraska store, and now more than 60 additional locations have followed suit.

The ability to consistently maintain visual updates and marketing materials from a central location was made easy using ADFLOW's Dynamic Messaging System content management software. Updates can be made through corporate marketing or in the individual store, enabling Fareway to provide a more relevant and engaging experience that drives brand awareness, consideration, sales and loyalty.

"With the new system, our managers also have the ability to reuse social media, customize promotion templates and highlight seasonal recipes", explains Jeff Cook, Vice President of Retail Market Operations at Fareway.

Since last September, more than half of the chain's store installations are completed, and the rest are gradually joining the project, incorporate elegant LG digital signage displays arranged in a striking location within the establishment with seamless connectivity.LG and ADFlow on Fareway
