Absen Led Technology Helps Modernize Bengaluru Train Stations
As part of the RDN project, A 24.3 inch XD6 Plus screen has been installed at the main entrance of South Western Railway's Bangalore Division.×3 meters and another XD4 Plus of 9×3 metros.
Planned to be built and operated in a self-sustaining model, The RDN is an initiative that seeks to provide contextual and relevant information to rail users along with public awareness messages and entertainment content, using the latest digital technologies. According to Media4growth, is planned to cover 32 stations in Bangalore Division in three different states (Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh).
At the main entrance of the South Western Railway's Bangalore Division, two devices have been installed Absent LED. The top screen is a 24.3 XD6 Plus×3 meters with a resolution of 3,648×432, while for the one at the bottom a 9-inch XD4 Plus has been used.×3 meters with a resolution of 2,016×432.
These screens are connected to public announcement systems and are used for railway information, like the arrival/departure of trains, delays, final confirmation status of a passenger on the waiting list, passenger communication and reservation letter display system.
“The XD Plus series seemed to be the ideal option to respond to the requirements of this project. 10 years. The screen works in 24 mode×7 and is offered in a wide variety of pixel pitches (4,4, 6,6, 8, 10 mm), con 7.500 nits of brightness and a 160° horizontal viewing angle. An outdoor option that shows excellent visual performance even in direct sunlight or extreme temperatures”, comments Cedric Ji, Absen sales representative for the Indian market.
The RDN project was executed by Sharma Srishti Synergy under the leadership of S Kumar, Managing Director of Srishti Group, that will manage the same during 10 years managing the train and passenger information network and also advertising on Led screens. Sharma Srishti Synergy is installing more than 1.600 digital screens in this project.
This project seeks to modernize railway facilities and improve the passenger experience at train stations., as well as in airports throughout the country.
Taking into account that railways transport more than 8.400 million passengers a year, RDN gives brands the opportunity to interact with a broad spectrum of consumers through dynamic digital advertising.
Unlike a static screen, RDN screens, which include some 1.600 digital screens in 32 stations across Bengaluru Division, They will not only have train and passenger information screens, but also engaging content to entertain travelers.
