The Invat·tur Smart Lab expands its technological offer for tourism with PHYGI VR
This smart totem with virtual reality, developed by Quatechnion, Its purpose is to bring tourists closer to a real and emotional experience of all the alternatives that a destination can offer..
The Valencian Institute of Tourism Technologies (Learning tour) has expanded the technological proposal of its demonstration laboratory Smart Lab, un novedoso espacio expositivo e interactivo, in which the user can experiment with the latest technological solutions aimed at the tourism sector.
Fruit of the collaboration between Invat·tur and the Valencian technology company Quatechnion, This laboratory now has PHYGI VR in its facilities, a new concept of smart totem with virtual reality.
PHYGI VR is a solution based on the concept of Phydigital technology, that helps enhance the physical experience and is part of the digitalization strategy of the Network of smart tourist destinations (DTI) which coordinates Invat·tur.
The objective of the implementation of the PHYGI VR exhibitors “is to bring tourists closer to a real and emotional experience of all the alternatives that a destination can offer through an immersive interactive proposal: “an interactive multimedia totem linked to virtual reality glasses that will allow the user to even make reservations or purchases on site.”.
The scenarios for this implementation are multiple., from tourist offices to airports and other transportation environments, shopping centers, hotels, etc. Ultimately, any space in which the influx of tourists has a constant flow to capture their attention and offer them an omnichannel solution.
Another of the innovative elements of this PHYGI VR is its ability to measure the emotional response of the tourist to the different contents offered by the totem.. “This allows you to personalize the digital experience based on previous learning.”, based on the emotional and behavioral response of the tourist”.
The objective of the new implementation of the solution developed by Quatechnion in the Smart Lab is to bring the solution to interested destinations and tourist agents so that they can test it and analyze its implementation.
Quatechnion is a spin-off technological of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), specialized in the application of neuroscience, artificial intelligence and virtual reality in the retail and tourism sectors.
Esta visión científica proviene del LabLeni Institute, origin of the company, with more than thirty years of experience in the analysis of human behavior “in the development of innovative means for the natural integration of technology in daily life, con la misión de unir tecnología y sociedad”, como ha señalado Jaime Guixeres, founder of Quatechnion and scientific coordinator of the LabLeni of the UPV.
