Autocanteen integrates Elo technology into its AI self-checkout solution

This technology partnership combines Elo's fifty years of experience in touch screen solutions with Autocanteen's artificial intelligence software to benefit customers with an innovative self-checkout proposition for hospitality sectors, retail and travel.
The computer vision self-checkout solution has received significant interest from global contract catering leaders and has been successfully tested by Fortune-listed foodservice and facility companies. 500.
Presented in May 2020 during the first lockdown due to COVID-19, Autocanteen has proven its value to major restaurant companies as employees and students return to their offices and universities after the pandemic.
This solution brings important business benefits, such as reducing personnel costs, the greater availability of the workforce to focus on tasks not related to the cashier, reducing waiting lines, the increase in income, reducing food waste, among others.

The average transaction time per customer was only ten seconds, with a precision rate of 97% that continually improves thanks to its self-learning algorithm.

Elo has a proven track record in the self-service space, with experience in self-order and self-checkout products based on Android and Windows. The Autocanteen solution equips the all-in-one touch screen of the series I from this manufacturer with integrated Linux.
