The technologies of Mapping Matter and Previz for remote collaboration and cloud-based 3D content preview, respectively, will be integrated into the platform disguise.
The acquisition of Mapping Matter and Previz by disquise Responds “to the accelerated demand for remote collaboration and cloud-based systems for creatives and technical teams to share their vision and progress with project owners”.
Mapping Matter, a web-based tool for the technical design, is used in the simulation and the photometric analysis of AV installation projects, mainly by live design teams working for companies like Cirque du Soleil, Moment Factory, Creative Technology, Etc.
Previz offers a workflow to design assets, plan projects and communicate ideas from a single browser. This platform has been used in events, both live and virtual, for brands like BBC, Fitbit or Land Rover.
Both Mapping Matter and Previz share a reputation for delivering interactive cloud-based systems for designers anywhere in the world. By integrating both platforms into the disguise platform, users will be able to develop and manage their projects in a unified workflow.
The disguise software, widely used in broadcasts and live programs, helps teams develop storyboards, create camera tours, validate content, test technical configurations and design complete projects.
Its timeline-based interface allows you to build a 3D model, either a Led volume, a live stage or the façade of a building, and map real-time content with pixel-perfect in the simulated environment.
Francois David, founder of Mapping Matter, stresses that “over the years I have come to know the disguise team not only as great innovators and leaders in the industry., but as a group of great human beings. I am delighted to take the initiative and expand the workflow of our company”.
In this line, Niall Thompson, founder Previz, notes that “in 2016 we set out to be the industry-leading platform for content review and approval for live viewing experiences. Joining forces with such an ambitious and forward-thinking company is what brings us to this next chapter.”.
