Audio-Technica BP898

The BP898 and BP899 models Audio-Technica, which replace the AT898 and AT899 microphones, They are available in terminations for wired or wireless use, adapting to the range of lapel microphone applications.

The microphone of cardioid flap low profile BP898 and that of omnidirectional flap miniature BP899 that just presented Audio-Technica They offer a wide dynamic range and tolerance to high sound pressure levels that guarantee intelligible and natural audio.

Audio-Technica BP898cThese features, along with its low profile design (just 5,3 mm diameter) make them ideal for use by lecturers and in theater applications, cult TV, with minimal visibility.

Model BP898 is available in five versions with black finish, all with permanently attached cables and different termination and power configurations. The BP899 model options only vary in their finish, both in black and in 'theatre' beige.

When you need a directional microphone up close the most recommended option is the BP898 model with cardioid capsule, whose directionality has a pronounced proximity effect when used up close, enhancing the user's voice.

If it is necessary to use the microphone at a greater distance or a less focused pickup is desired, BP899 model with omnidirectional capsule is recommended, featuring an open diaphragm design for maximum frequency response with a protective mesh (that repels sweat, humidity,…) and long-lasting performance.

Audio-Technico BP899This model also has a sound cap that can be applied to the microphone for greater intelligibility and to keep sweat and moisture away..

Building on the performance of the existing AT898 and AT899 lapel microphones, the new BP898 and BP899, available next December, They offer higher quality in the construction of the cable: made of urethane elastomer with a double spiral shielding thread, which provides more flexibility, strength and resistance to abrasion and moisture, and the signal line of the cable uses CuSn alloy (copper and tin) High durability that improves corrosion resistance.

To this are added improved connectors that better reduce humidity; a clamp included (with sixteen 360° angle adjustments) and two strain relief points for easy cable routing and isolation from mechanical noise, as well as two new windbreaks that fit into the microphone, each with a clasp that keeps it attached to the microphone.

The microphone capsules are mounted on a robust metal casing to protect electronic circuits from external electromagnetic noise. Both microphones are RoHS compliant.

BP899 Configuration Options
