Transducers and amplifiers

One of the technologies that have been integrated to achieve this has been that of Powersoft and, specifically, your linear transducer Move, which was used to design a haptic infrasound in order to create realistic sensations, like when you step on an elephant or the roar of a lion.

The Virtual Safari Show Wild has 162 Powersoft Mover deployed throughout the enclosure, the largest installation with this linear transducer to date, according to manufacturer's data.

This Powersoft system has also been combined with twelve DSP+D amplifiers Quattrocanali 4804 of this company to get the best possible low frequency reproduction.

Mover is a compact and very powerful linear transducer, designed to deliver sound through haptic perception, making the surrounding environment vibrate, that the human body captures, so that through bone conduction it translates vibrations into perceptible frequencies.

For this Show by Illuminarium Experiences, Move has been used in your version Inertial Drive, that can be mounted directly on surfaces, even under the ground. The reproduction of ultra-low frequencies and the effectiveness of Mover do vibrate the surface and expand the experience of low frequencies.

Since space is scarce, one of illuminarium's requirements was to use a compact yet powerful technology., able to reproduce a movement as real as possible and credible, something that this linear motor technology of mobile magnets patented by Powersoft achieves in the show.

Believable and realistic sensations

Tom Knesel, Managing Director of Powersoft in the United States, explains that “Mover was designed to provide the best and most realistic immersive experience to users. We are incredibly proud to provide our patented technology haptic infrasound to help reproduce realistic sensations to visitors, in what is called to be the next generation of entertainment venues”.

Extended power management, electromagnetic conversion, reliability and maximum SPL are some of Mover's innovative features and improvements over the conventional moving coil arrangement..
