Tripleplay Steve Rickless and Planet eStream Wendy Robinson

The multinational Uniguest adds a new company to its ecosystem with the purchase of Planet eStream, provider of video platforms for the education sector, as part of its division Tripleplay.

With more than 4 millions of users in more than 550 Locations, the acquisition of Planet eStream increases the presence of Uniguest in the education sector, while extending the well-known proposal Av and digital signage of the organization.

Based in West Yorkshire (United Kingdom), Planet eStream will align under the IPTV and digital signage division of Tripleplay, belonging to Uniguest, which is also located in this country.

Planet eStream is a unified video platform primarily used by high schools, institutes and universities to create, manage and deliver digital learning content and resources to your students and staff.

Among its functions are from video on demand, to live streaming, capturing lectures/classes, as well as digital signage and image management. A flexible and comprehensive set of tools to suit the specific needs of an organization.

Jeff Hiscox, CEO of Uniguest, pointed out that “Planet eStream is an excellent addition to our family of brands. Digital engagement in education is growing at an exponential rate, and we are delighted to offer new and existing customers a solution with such a wide range of capabilities”.

As Planet eStream is integrated into the Tripleplay division “explore opportunities to extend several of its enterprise video and digital signage capabilities to other end markets and territories”, notes Hiscox.

Wendy Robinson, co-founder of Planet eStream, will remain at Uniguest as CEO of this company. “For the last seventeen years, he explains.- we have worked hard to create a platform that supports the requirements, increasing, of educational organizations for video-based learning”.

Uniguest is a portfolio company of Atlantic Street Capital and the addition of Planet eStream to the organization marks the fifth acquisition of 2021 company: in February, Janus Displays, digital signage company focused on the hospitality industry; in May, Sagely, software technology provider for the elderly; in September UCView, IPTV and digital signage provider, and in October Fly, specialized in voice-based systems.
