Audio-Technica ATND1061: beamforming ceiling microphone array

Designed by Audio-Technica to offer an effective solution in conference rooms, of joints and other spaces, New ATND1061 Beamforming Ceiling Microphone Array Brings Flexibility to Corporate Audio.

Dante enabled, Audio-Technica ATND1061 offers six output channels individual, with up to 32 catchment areas user defined, providing the flexibility to cover a wide variety of meeting room sizes.

Zones can be configured to ensure coverage of priority participants in pre-planned locations, and non-priority or unplanned (Exclusion zones can also be configured in the software to avoid potential noise sources, such as air handling systems).

The output channel can be configured with sixteen coverage zones user defined, within which a meeting participant may be sitting or moving while speaking. The beam will track and keep the microphone centered on the speaker's voice, minimizing any noise in the room.

Only one of the sixteen coverage zones can be open at a time, since the microphone automatically selects the area with the strongest signal identified as the voice signal. The voice activity detection technology (WHAT) from Audio-Technica allows the microphone to differentiate between a voice and unwanted sounds, like the noise made when moving sheets of paper.

The room configuration, Zones and other settings are made with the application Digital Microphone Manager, easy to use. For installations without external digital signal processing, ATND1061 features a powerful Integrated DSP, including automatic mixing, acoustic echo suppression (AEC), noise reduction, automatic gain control (AGC) and four-band equalizer.

ATND1061 has two network ports which can be configured to suit any installation requirement. In the mode Single cable, the data of Dante audio and microphone control are sent together via a single standard cable. In the mode Split, Dante audio and microphone control data are sent separately over two category cables.

This system can be mounted recessed in a false ceiling, on the surface of a hard roof or also in open architecture spaces with a standard Vesa mount. ATND1061 complies with the UL standard 2043 for installation in plenum spaces, so it includes all the supports, security wiring, mounting screws and accessories.
