Cruïlla Barcelona adds holographic and robotic technology to the festival

Mobile World Capital Barcelona, together with companies Newtonlab Space y Pal Robotics, shows attendees Crossroads Festival 2022 two technological projects: and meet & greet holographic and the social robot ARI.

The edition 2022 of the Crossroads Festival Barcelona, which will take place 6 al 9 July, hosts a varied lineup with top-level artists, as well as other proposals to offer your attendees a complete experience beyond your musical proposal, like art, audiovisual spaces, sustainability or technology.

The latter takes on a special role with the presentation of two technological projects, like the so-called meet & greet holographic, developed by Mobile World Capital Barcelona (MWCapital) and the Barcelona holographic laboratory Newtonlab Space, which offers attendees the possibility of taking photos and videos with the life-size hologram of some of the artists performing at the festival and sharing the experience on their social networks.

Eduard Martin, director of MWCapital's smart connectivity program, explains that “attendees can discover first-hand the holographic projects, a technology that we are convinced will revolutionize the entertainment and leisure industry, and that it will become a communication tool for people”.

In fact, and as part of the 5G Barcelona initiative in 2019, Cruïlla was the first festival to use this technology and incorporate a 360º immersive virtual reality experience for its attendees..

The second technological proposal is the robot humanoid social ARI, in which Pal Robotics combines services and artificial intelligence in a single platform that will be interacting with the public during the days of the festival,

Thanks to integrating multiple sensors, ARI is capable of generating data, speak in different languages, display information and applications on the chest-mounted touch screen for user interaction and multimedia content, in addition to having a person detection and recognition and voice system.
