Robe promotes the transition to LED at the Paris National Opera
As part of the renovation of static profile luminaires to LED technology, the Paris Opera has invested in the purchase of three hundred units of the T11 Profile and T11 PC models from the Czech manufacturer Robe.
The three hundred new luminaries Dress T11 that the main opera and ballet company in France has installed to modernize its lighting system are now added to the two hundred units of this manufacturer, specifically the moving heads T1 y T2 Profiles, operational for a long time.
These new units from the Czech manufacturer, just as it happened with those already installed, have been supplied by Alterlite and will be distributed in the two emblematic spaces that this cultural institution has in the French capital: the Palais Garnier Opera and the Bastille Opera.
As pointed out Jacques Giovanangeli, head of the lighting department of the Palais Garnier, “The T11 luminaire meets all the quality and performance criteria that we had set for ourselves.”. The luminous flux and colorimetry meet our demands and the locking of the framing blinds guarantees that they will not be out of adjustment when the feathers move.”.
In this line, the head of the lighting service at the Opera Bastille, Nicolas Beaud, emphasizes that “we chose to replace the existing devices, made up of halogen and PC profiles, equipping our side booms with Robe T11 as part of the modernization plan that involves the change to Led”.
An aspect highlighted by Beaud is “the versatility of the T11 luminaire, which allows us to use the same projector body and replace the front lens to obtain a profile or a PC. “The quality of the colorimetry and the manual shutter system are perfect for our very specific needs”.
