The Queen Miami Beach is reborn with Cameo lighting

idesign has created a majestic atmosphere of lights, where the Opus S5 moving heads and the Zenit W300 LED wash Cameo, brand of Adam Hall, are the protagonists.

“We wanted high-impact lighting that would highlight the large proscenium arch of the old theater”, explains Michael Meacham, de idesign, responsible for lighting design in collaboration with Lux Populi. “We placed the Opus S5 behind the arch and let the spotlights illuminate the room with spectacular beams”.

The OpusS5 also showcases its luminous intensity and versatility of effects such as fill lights along the side walls of the dance floor when the Queen transforms from restaurant to club after dark.

The Zenit W300 Led washes have been integrated into the ceiling structure above the restaurant tables and function as downlights that run in a radial pattern around the central mirror ball.

“The W300s give a very bright light considering their size and do a fantastic job as a wash or for full color strobe effects”, comments Michael Meacham. “You can dominate the entire room with them.”.

In addition to Queen Miami Beach, Michael Meacham has recently used the OpusS5 in the 44 Toronto Club (Canada).

“The way we use the OpusS5 in the 44 It is diametrically different from that of the Queen Miami Beach. The club has a narrow, rectangular shoebox design with very high ceilings, so we created a custom grid and placed the OpusS5 at central points, complementing the more than 100 Movo Beam 100 with gobo beams and full color mixing”.
