This “transformative and disruptive” proposal is based on the evolution carried out by the wholesaler by structuring its business in two areas.: volume, “a more transactional market that has decreased in recent years”, and the solutions, “a value market that grows 23,3%, not product oriented but project oriented”, explains Soler.

Specifically, Soler details that it is a data-rich platform that uses artificial intelligence technology. “We have the best human team, that continues to train on the platform so that it benefits the client, making management easier for the distributor in a single order, which may include hardware, software and services.

According to the data provided by this person in charge, all its distributors are already operating Xvantage and there are four manufacturers on the platform, with the anticipation of having everyone, around 150 in Spain, at the end of this year.

Xperience center as a success value

One of the milestones of this transformation proposal highlighted by Soler are the new offices that opened this year in Barcelona., with the so-called Xperience Center, “a bet on unified communications and AV technology and solutions; training and service to the channel and its manufacturers, that all employees use in our daily lives”.

Since its launch in May (all the details in the report made in Digital AV), 142 clients and 20 end users have visited Xperience Center, “a success that has materialized in more than 42 closed projects and some 2 million euros”, Soler points out.

Two decades of collaboration

The celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Ingram Micro Symposium has been supported by more than 2.500 professionals and a hundred exhibitors that have shown their solutions as part of the different business units of the wholesaler: ProAV, DC/POS, cloud, data center, core business, security and cybersecurity, devices and more.

ASanz Ingram Micro Simposium2023With more than 1.000 m2 available this year at Fira de Barcelona compared to the rest of the editions, Soler highlighted that “this new location means a distinction for our entire sector in this innovative business environment”.

A value proposition, solutions and services that were complemented with the speakers corners in which manufacturers detailed their technological proposals and the so-called agoras with the participation of the main directors of Ingram Micro, like that of Jennifer Anaya, SPV global marketing, who pointed out that the wholesaler “reaches the 90% of the world population thanks to being present in 61 countries. Have 160.000 clients and 1.500 suppliers”.

Some significant data in Ingram Micro's global business that Anaya attributes to the fact that "we have been pioneers in investing and thinking innovatively".
