As technical partner in video projection of the world tour of Odyssey Circle, the multinational Panasonic is redefining the way festival-goers experience live entertainment, carrying the 360° projection beyond of the limits of traditional concerts.

The Cercle Odyssey musical experience will be performed before more than 150.000 spectators during thirty shows spread over fifteen dates, in Mexico City, Los Angeles (The first concerts have already been held in these cities) and Paris.

Designed and directed by Derek Barbolla, founder and artistic director of Cercle, Cercle Odyssey concerts fuse the creativity of musicians world renowned, between them Moby y Empire of the Sun, y visual artists.

Inspired by the epic poem of Greek literature Odyssey, from Homer, Cercle Odyssey reimagines the concert format as a immersive artistic journeyor unique that explores the intimate bond between humans and nature.

Native 4K projection

To bring this ambitious, large-scale immersive experience to life at every concert on the tour, Cercle Odyssey uses 2.300 m² of projection space on the walls and ceiling of each venue in which it is held.

Each show takes place in a circular structure, with capacity for a maximum of 5.000 guests for performance, with a strict policy of do not use phones to allow the audience to fully connect with the performers. This innovative mobile space also uses a total of 72 speakers from the sound maker L-Acoustics, arranged around a modern structure, with dimensions of 50 meters long and 10 high.

Besides, offers up to 20.000 hours of maintenance-free operation forks easy to install, carry and adjust compared to Led screens, making it perfect for large-scale immersive live events.

Cercle Odyssey will also use six compact Panasonic PT-RQ35K projectors, what they offer 30.000 lumens of brightness and will be discreetly placed next to the stage to project 4K images on the ceiling.

The multimedia server and real-time compositing platform company Smode Tech provides eight servers for this project, supplied by Middle Alabama, belonging to the French group Novelty.

Smode Tech is also responsible for training operator teams and overseeing all aspects of Cercle Odyssey coding., so that each show is unique and perfectly synchronized with the music.

Sustainable live events

A key element at Cercle Odyssey is sustainability, with a proposal designed and that puts into practice the entire route to minimize your global carbon footprint.
