Lawo and Waves

This new collaboration allows sound engineers to use SuperRack 15 access to processing tools Waves in immersive audio environments with production consoles Theirs mc² for live and broadcast productions.

The latest version of the software SuperRack of Waves Audio introduces a full support for immersive mixing, offering configurations such as 5.1.4, 7.1.4 y 9.1.4. The core of this version 15 is your new plugin Immersive Wrapper, a solution that turns any mono plugin from this company into a multichannel processor for immersive formats.

When loading a mono plugin in Waves Immersive Wrapper, engineers can now apply their dynamics, creative equalizations and effects seamlessly across all channels for an immersive mix.

This approach not only offers a precise control, but also allows flexibly link parameters between channelss and share functionality sidechain for processing the entire mixture, an essential feature to create coherent and natural immersive soundscapes in live environments.

As with previous Waves integrations, the new immersive functionality is totally Compatible with Lawo's current range of mc² consoles, allowing operators to integrate SuperRack directly into the same.

Parameters can be adjusted intuitively and settings are stored with Lawo's snapshot system, ensuring consistent recovery during complex productions. The automatic function rack follows console access ensures fast and safe operation, which is important in situations that require quick action.

This integration is available for both Waves SuperRack SoundGrid and SuperRack Performer, so that users can choose the platform that best suits them, regardless of whether you want to use SoundGrid or VST3 plugins.

“The future of live production is immersive, and this integration is a bold step towards that reality - says Noam Raz, CEO of Waves Live division. When connecting SuperRack 15 with Lawo consoles, We offer engineers unlimited creative freedom in 3D audio spaces, while keeping the precision of our plugins at our fingertips”.

To Lucas Zwicker, Senior Director of Workflow and Integration at Lawo, “Integration with Waves has been key for many productions since its first introduction, based on MultiRack SG.
