The popular annual concert series Summer Swag of PSY, famous for his “Gangnam Style“, draws crowds from all over South Korea. Las 16 performances distributed in nine cities of his last tour, seasoned with Rosé's surprise appearances, J-Hope o G-Dragon.

Hyungsub Park, director of Vico Creative, who has been working on the Summer Swag concerts since 2011 developing computer graphics for the stage together with his own PSY, faced a renewed challenge in the last edition of the celebrated concerts: “Our main goal was to ensure that 12K high-resolution graphics and live streaming, with a clean key, played perfectly on stage. Achieving seamless integration between live camera feeds and graphics was essential to the success of the project.”.

To undertake this project, Vico's team needed to find a multimedia server that could handle large data loads without compromising visual quality or interrupting the live audience experience. His images had to adapt to PSY's wide musical range, ranging from K-Pop to rap, rock and ballads, as well as the configuration of each enclosure.

In the same way, It had to be taken into account that the Summer Swag is celebrated during the sweltering korean summer, during which temperatures can exceed 39 °C. Therefore, the team needed to have equipment that could withstand extreme heat and resist the risk of sprinklers and water pumps affecting equipment.

“Con Disguise integrated into the workflow, we were able to offer images of even higher quality. Being able to elevate such a legendary show and contribute to an experience that audiences truly love is something we are incredibly proud of.”, concludes Park.
