LiveDots boat has illuminated the busiest crossing in New York, supplying a display of three ultra high contrast LED panels with 532 TF10 tiles to the Vornado real estate building located in penn Plaza through which more than half a million people pass daily.

LiveDots Boat, a company of ship, in partnership with the experimental design company The Barnycz Group, has installed an impressive three-panel LED display in the Vornado Realty Trust space at New York's Penn Plaza, an office complex, leisure places and hotels through which they circulate 600.000 people every day. The real estate company turned to The Barnycz Group when it decided to upgrade the signage of a popular building to LED in order to increase advertising revenue opportunities..

Flexible LED billboards that increase advertising revenue

The new billboard, located just across from Penn Station, is a milestone of LED technology that combines three high-resolution panels into one powerful advertising canvas, that allows advertisers to launch very creative and eye-catching campaigns. The three panels can be rented as a single advertising surface by a single client or each panel can be hired separately by different companies.. The display solution, comprising 532 TF10 tiles with corner tiles and specially designed front service mechanics, amounts to more than three million pixels of high-resolution images. It is powered by Barco's image processor, the DX-700, and works with Barco LiveDots' networked RMS software, with proprietary sensor technology that allows remote management of the entire screen.

Bright, green and profitable

With its image quality and weather resistance, TF10 LED tile pixel pitch 10,2 Mm. and 6.500 nits offers a new standard for high-resolution outdoor displays. The LED of Barco LED provides excellent brightness and a contrast 20 percent higher than other LED solutions, allowing for images as bright in sunlight as at night, even in bright environments. The TF10 also consumes a 20 percent less than other screens.

A perfect combination of creativity, performance and reliability 24/7

The Barnycz Group consulted with Vornado executives about the location, design and construction, and developed the content and playback system for the new display, as well as the header system that allows Vornado to broadcast content through the three screens, or do it independently in each of the displays.

The founder and president of the company, Danny Barnycz, chose Barco as an LED option: “Vornado wanted to make a big impact on an already saturated outdoor advertising market.. Barco's high-resolution LED technology is extremely vivid, clear and crisp. For prominent retailers who invest millions in their brand, this color accuracy and uniformity is essential to reinforce your brand image, especially for today's sophisticated interactive campaigns. And in a city that never sleeps, is critical to building a dynamic solution that operates reliably 24/7 in all kinds of weather conditions and climates.”

For its part, Carl Rijsbrack, Marketing Director of Barco LiveDots, has indicated: “We are excited to have worked with The Baryncz Group and the Vornado team to create this dynamic high-resolution display as a major milestone in New York City.. We are confident that your presence will generate a solid and reliable revenue stream based on your high-profile location and bright images.” The new LED display is located at the intersection of the street 34 and 7th Avenue next to the Penn Station Interchange and Madison Square Garden, the mecca of sport and entertainment in the Big Apple.
