Boat F400-4K

Designed for training and simulation applications, the new F400-4K projector features 4K resolution and thanks to ship Pulse offers a processing speed of up to 120 Hz in native WQXGA.

ship launches a new projector in its F400 true solid-state range. the F400-4K joins the F400-N4K (4Native K) and combines laser projection, High-speed, extremely reliable processing with 4K UHD resolution. Based on a powerful new architecture, This line is the optimal choice for the most demanding training and simulation applications.

Based on electronic and software platform Pulse Boat next-generation, It includes a host of innovative features that help bring realism to life with power, Speed & Accuracy. The bandwidth capability of the Pulse software architecture ensures that high-resolution images are combined with the fastest processing for smooth, high-quality image performance, with minimal latency.

Power, Speed & Accuracy

The F400 range is designed specifically for the demanding requirements of the Training and simulation. the WQXGA native resolution (2.560×1.600 Pixels) of the new team, which can be upscaled to 4K using the built-in pixel shift feature, Bring any simulation content to life with detail and precision.

Thanks to the new generation Barco Pulse, Offers a processing speed of up to 120 Hz in native WQXGA. The F400-N4K will be able to go all the way 240 Hz at native 4K resolution. This ensures that even the fastest moving scenarios show all the details. The dedicated FS400 series, designed for NVG stimulation applications, features a higher intensity IR light source.

Smart design for reliability

The design of the F400 series includes the use of a static phosphor plate in the lighting path instead of a phosphor wheel. This means it's a true solid-state projector with no moving parts. In addition, the Aluminium core in the shape of an 'H' beam provides the projector with optimal weight distribution with the electronics, the hardware and software built around the kernel.

Maintenance personnel can access components from both above and below if required. This also protects the F400 series against shock and vibration and makes it suitable for mounting on fast-moving platforms.

For the most extreme situations, Optional lens holder kits have been designed to stiffen the entire structure; From the external lens, going through all the inmates, to the motor with prisms and image chip, making the range more reliable and shock-resistant.

“The F400 series is a flagship range that combines all the firm's knowledge and leadership in the simulation market”, says Frederik Bouckaert, senior product manager at Barco. “State-of-the-art true solid-state performance makes these projectors a true asset in any simulation application”.
