With a lightweight design and wide range of rigging options, D&b offers the V7P and V10P point source speakers as a solution for applications demanding high sound pressure levels with full bandwidth performance in a single-box solution.

DB speakers V7P and V10P

The V7P and V10P point source speakers D&b Audiotechnik incorporate a wide range of rigging, for maximum flexibility, in addition to having a constant directivity control up to low frequencies.

These speakers have been created from the passive design of 3 D-series V-series inline array module tracks&b audiotechnik and house two 10" motors in a dipole arrangement with a medium frequency motor (MF) 8", mounted on the back and connected to a dual-chamber trumpet.

D&B V7P and V10PThe openings of this trumpet design create another dipole around the single centrally mounted 1.4" output compression motor with a constant directivity trumpet. this feature maximizes the performance of the size ratio, because it manages to emit almost the entire block of the baffle.

V7P and V10P speakers offer dispersion characteristics of 75° x 40° and 110° x 40º, respectively. All components are arranged around the central axis of the case to produce a perfectly symmetrical dispersion pattern. Due to the dipole arrangement of low-frequency motors (Lf), a broadband horizontal dispersion control is maintained up to 350 hz. Rotary trumpet and wide range of rigging options simplify mount orientation.

The bass-reflex design of the V7P and V10P uses an advanced ventilated low-frequency arrangement (Lf) so the frequency response extends from 59 Hz up to 18 kHz and offers flexibility as a standalone solution.

Subwoofer V-GSUB

D&B V-GSUBAs a companion to the V7P and V10P teams, D&b has also announced the V-GSUB high-performance cardioid subwoofer for above-ground stack applications.

This subwoofer needs only one channel from the amplifier and shares the same acoustic performance, box design and engine arrangement than the V-SUB, consisting of an 18" engine, in a bass-reflex design facing forward, and a 12" motor in a two-camera bandpass system that emits backwards.

The cardioid dispersion pattern that results from this motor arrangement rejects energy backwards and reduces reverberant field excitation at low frequencies.. The V-GSUB is provided with skates and inlets for stack and prevent unwanted movement when placed with the V7P or V10P boxes.

Vi7P, Vi10P and Vi-GSUB

D&B V7P V10P and V-GSUBVi7P boxes, Vi10P and Vi-GSUB are installation versions of these versatile speakers and offer visually discreet case design and facility-specific rigging systems.. Finishes in special color (SC) and resistance to inclement weather (WR) ensure that they can adapt without any permanently integrated application.

These point-source speakers are an alternative to smaller inline array configurations, especially considering its lightweight design and wide range of rigging options.

“The V7P and V10P use an advanced mid-range section with trumpet load, which provides a remarkable sensitivity of medium frequencies. This half-frequency performance (MF), especially in the vocal range, is where these compact boxes of the V Series stand out the most. This endless vocal dynamic range allows them to be the perfect boxes for applications that demand high sound pressure levels with full bandwidth performance in a single-box solution.", explains WernerBayer, Product Director of d&B.
