Omnivex Port Columbus Airport

Located in central Ohio (United States), Port Columbus International Airport offers near 150 daily flights to 32 destinations and provides its services to more than 6 million passengers every year.

Provided by Columbus Regional Airport Authority, this airport had a major renovation in 2013 y como parte de este proyecto se incluyó la ampliación de su red de señalización digital con objeto de mejorar la experiencia y comunicación con el cliente. In this way, more video walls and display solutions were added at the counters. This extension has been extended during the last three years until in March of this year two Led videowalls have been installed, with dimensions 13.4×4,2 metre, at the entrances of terminals A and C, and 62 new screens on the counters.

This enlargement project, that has been made by Radiant Technology, partner of Omnivex,
includes two videowalls formed by individual Led screens of high resolution and that provide an optimal graphic capacity. They also have the Omnivex Moxie solution to manage the dynamic and high definition content of the digital signage network, ensuring that both texts and images are displayed with great clarity. Each videowall provides real-time flight information, as well as advertisements and other important messages for travelers.

the 62 screens that have been incorporated into the area where the banknotes are issued were designed to be easily updated with a touch screen. Omnivex Moxie players are used here to allow airline employees to quickly and easily access and make ticket modifications..

Background to the relationship

Radiant Technology has been collaborating with the airport since the beginning of this expansion of its digital signage network; while the Omnivex Moxie began to be used in 2014 for screens located in the restaurant area and, later expanded its installation to a large videowall integrated by 48 screens that are located in terminal B and with which it was possible to improve its resolution.

The project progressed to include another videowall in the restaurant area, advertised by the various food service providers.

With these improvements in the digital signage network, the airport has managed to increase its advertising revenues and among its forecasts is to continue expanding the infrastructure and improving the contents.
