Sony expands its range of IPELA systems
HD video surveillance is gaining ground as has been evident at the ISC West fair 2010, held a few days ago in Las Vegas, in which Sony has presented a total of sixteen cameras, as well as new network encoders and storage servers for security environments.
At the recent ISC West show in Las Vegas, Sony Electronics has presented 16 new high definition security cameras, networkable, accompanied by the complete set of its HD video security technologies. Making the most of high-definition developments designed for film and television, Sony now extends this image quality to some of the most advanced security environments. The new high definition cameras that have been seen at ISC West are grouped into three series. The E Series includes entry-level models that combine high image quality with a robust feature set at a cost-effective price.. The X Series offers cameras for unique surveillance installations. Equipped with an ultra-compact cabinet and a stylized design, X Series cameras are usable in environments that require high performance and adapt to the aesthetic environment. Finally, Series V, Sony's flagship line, incorporates the most recent technological advances, including View-DR and DEPA (Distributed Enhanced Processing Architecture) Advanced. Sony's superior image quality is attributable to innovations such as View-DR and Exmor sensors. View-DR technology incorporates the latest in Wide-D technology with Visibility Enhancer (visibility enhancer), while XDNR allows these cameras to provide quality HD images, even in difficult backlit environments. Sony Exmor CMOS sensors enable HD images to be captured in dimly lit environments. Many of the models incorporate in-camera analytics, an advantage that offers systemic feedback and real-time image analysis. The new cameras are offered in various form factors: minidomo, fixed/box and some low profile bullet shaped. Most models are offered in weather- and vandal-resistant versions for high-traffic outdoor installations..
Encoders and storage
Sony now also has new network encoders and storage servers. The Sony SNT-EX104 is a stand-alone four-channel video encoder, designed to respond to a wide range of systemic requirements. This latest addition to Sony's complete line of network video encoders is designed to easily transition from analog video systems to IP video surveillance.. Unlike competitive encoders, The SNT-EX104 incorporates exclusive technologies, among them XDNR, Visibility Enhancer y Dynamic Frame Integration (DFI, Dynamic Frame Integration) that improve the quality of the analog video signal to ensure clearer images, sharper and brighter. Besides that, The SNT-EX104 can transfer a video stream to 30 cps in JPEG resolution, MPEG-4 from H.264, and includes DEPA Advanced analytics. Sony NSR-1000 Series of network surveillance recording servers provide network storage for analog cameras, digital HD and SD. With storage capacities ranging from 500 GB to 4 TB, each recording server can support up to 20 cameras. These recording servers use an open platform design for easy setup and operation, and even work with equipment from other manufacturers, for example select Axis IP cameras. The NSR-1000 server includes monitoring and search modules that incorporate Sony's DEPA technology to make object detection functions more accurate..
