Dagobert designs new interactive totems for the Castorama DIY store chain
Scrooge, a digital agency specialized in the design of TV channel networks for stores, touch screens and sales displays, is collaborating with Castorama, a well-known chain of DIY stores operating in France, in the development of a new touch screen device that provides more autonomy to consumers.
Castorama, the French chain of home and garden items, is testing new touch screen totems designed by the agency in two of its stores Scrooge.
Two models of totems are being used:
– Search Totem – have been installed 4 in each store – allowing shoppers to locate products and services throughout the store.

–Totem 'ZRM' – a total of 22 per store – allowing consumers to browse through products, see what is in stock, order them and then go to the checkout to pay for them and take them home.

The objective of the project is to offer the customer greater autonomy within the store, a concept that Castorama has already introduced with its iPhone application launched in February 2010.
