The North American technology distributor Ingram Micro has created a specific digital signage department for its European division with the aim of addressing the emerging digital signage market in the Old Continent..

Ingram Micro has expanded its audiovisual division in Europe to include a complete digital signage offering. According to Mike Farrah, commercial director of the distributor, A team of digital signage specialists has been created to focus on the UK market, and then the German markets will be addressed, Italy and France.

Farrah has pointed out: “There is a significant market opportunity that extends across the AV and IT sectors., and with our extensive product portfolio and investment in pre- and post-sales services we are very well positioned to support our customers to take advantage of this growing market.. “We have the ability and product catalog to distribute and support applications of any size.”.

Farrah has also commented that Ingram will not only supply, will install and manage digital signage hardware, including displays and players, but will offer software development services, content creation, support and consulting. “These new high-value services complement our current portfolio”, has added.
