Panasonic has dispensed with lamps in its latest DLP projector models, the PT-RZ470 and the PT-RZ370, that incorporate an innovative HDBaseT connection option that allows all video signals to be transmitted, audio and control through a single cable.

Panasonic has announced the launch of the first series of lamp-less projectors with HDBaseT technology. This new series of projectors replaces the conventional lamp with Panasonic's new proprietary laser diode/LED technology to obtain a brightness of more than 3.000 lumens. PT-RZ470 and PT-RZ370 1-chip DLP series will be available in two different resolutions: 1080p (1.920 x 1.080) and WXGA (1.280 x 800) with capacities that were not previously possible with conventional lamps.

By pairing an LED/laser light source with Panasonic's installation flexibility - including lens shift capability- PT-RZ470 and PT-RZ370 series represent a major new milestone in projector evolution. By providing end users with high-quality continuous brightness and professional features, including Edge Blending and color blending, Panasonic has enriched the projector experience for educational institutions and professional applications., such as museums and digital signage.

New lighting technology offers up to 20.000 hours of virtually maintenance-free operation and, consequently, Operating costs often associated with periodic labor and maintenance services can be dramatically reduced.

High image quality

Due to the high precision of Panasonic's optical engineering and cooling efficiency, The projectors have long-lasting high brightness levels and great image quality. All models are equipped with Panasonic's proprietary Daylight View technology, where a built-in ambient light sensor adjusts image quality based on surrounding conditions. Along with the projector's wide color space and vivid colors, Helps display projectors in brightly lit roomses. DICOM simulation mode is also available for use in medical training applications.

Panasonic Digital Link

Each new model has a Digital Link connection. Based on technologyValens HDBaseT logic, Panasonic's Digital Link is inserted in the PT-RZ470 and PT-RZ370 series, allowing HD videos to be transmitted using a single cable, audio and control commands up to 100 uncompressed meters. The need for an external receiver is eliminated when the projectors are used in conjunction with Panasonic's new ET-YFB100 switch box or third-party switches with HDBaseT chipset.

Ease of operation

PT-RZ470 and PT-RZ370 projectors turn on and reach maximum brightness virtually instantly, no warm-up time required, which allows them to be used immediately. There are no limitations on the number and duration of ignition cycles / off. Durability and reliability are backed by performance capability 24/7.

Installation Flexibility

The PT-RZ470 and PT-RZ370 series are designed with 2xzoom and an exceptionally wide lens shift range. This provides flexibility for replacement installations, eliminating the need to reposition an existing universal ceiling mount.

The PT-RZ470 series accepts 360 Installation degrees and vertical mode projection. No intricate mirrors are needed to make these special projections, changing and expanding the way projectors can be used in a wide variety of environments. The PT-RZ470 series is equipped with a number of professional features that make it ideal for complex installations. El Edge Blending, Integrated color matching and multi-unit brightness control function enables multi-unit projection without the need for external processors. Compatibility with 3D is another of the benefits that these two new series boast.
