Indra will reinforce the security of Hungarian football stadiums with its technology
The Hungarian Football Federation has awarded the Spanish technology multinational Indra a comprehensive security project that combines the most advanced critical infrastructure protection systems with the cutting-edge ticketing and access control solutions of the Spanish Professional Football League..
The Hungarian Football Federation has awarded the technology multinational Indra a contract to undertake the first phase of the comprehensive security project for the first division stadiums of the national league. The contract, for an amount of 2,2 million euros, combines the implementation of the most advanced systems and solutions in the areas of critical infrastructure protection and ticketing.
The solution designed by Indra includes the implementation of access control systems and closed circuit television with high resolution cameras that will facilitate viewing of the stadium from a control center. Contactless ticket readers and a system will also be installed to centralize the purchase of tickets via the web with membership card control.. Its main contribution is the connection of these systems with the police databases to verify that people included in blacklists cannot access the purchase of tickets and, later, to the stadiums.
For the development of the project, Indra has had the ticketing management and access control solutions of the Spanish Professional Football League (LFP) currently installed in the 42 Liga BBVA and Liga Adelante stadiums, which will be adapted by the technological multinational to the requirements of the Hungarian Football Federation.
Safe event
The objective of the project is, in the words of the Hungarian Football Federation, make football “a sport for all audiences”, where fans can go as a family, safely, and without fear of encountering violent situations. It also represents a further degree of progress regarding compliance with the security requirements of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).
This first phase awarded to Indra contemplates the implementation of the technology multinational's solution in 6 of the 14 first division stadiums that currently exist in the country: both from Budapest, Gyor, Diosgyor, Szombathely Haladas y Keckskemet. In total they have a capacity close to 65.000 visitors. The Hungarian Football Federation plans to finalize throughout 2013 the comprehensive security project in all the country's first division stadiums. The project has great strategic value due to the security requirements that FIFA is demanding in all stadiums.. Besides, the solution designed by Indra, based on the LFP's ticketing and access control systems, It is exportable to all types of sporting events that take place in stadiums.
