Epson presents its first active 3D projector for companies

Epson continues to expand its family of projectors with the launch of the EB-W16 model, an active 3LCD 3D projector for commercial use that produces equally high white and color light output, of 3.000 lumens, to deliver brilliant 3D images in various ambient light conditions to bring life and luminosity to corporate projections.

Epson has announced its first active 3LCD 3D projector for commercial use. Epson EB-W16 supports 3D viewing for higher education centers, as well as for design and engineering applications. This portable and very easy to use device, offers bright, high-definition 3D projection thanks to 3LCD technology.

Image quality is guaranteed thanks to Epson's 3LCD technology, that faithfully reproduces a wide color gamut to create natural and vibrant images; ideal for applications such as graphic design. The Epson EB-W16 produces equally high white and color light output, of 3.000 lumens, to deliver brilliant 3D images in various ambient light conditions, while a contrast ratio of 5.000:1 Provides extraordinary detail for excellent image quality. Besides, the stylized design, EB-W16 lightweight and portable, added to the x1.2 zoom, allows users to display 3D content almost anywhere.

El Epson EB-W16, supporting all HDMI-compatible 3D signal formats, display content in parallel, bottom-top and binned frames so users can project the widest range of 3D content available.

José Pereira, product manager at Epson Ibérica, has stated: “We have already successfully launched our luminous active 3D technology in our range of home cinema projectors and are now offering this know-how to the corporate market.. With its high-brightness 3LCD technology, This EB-W16 is perfect for design and engineering applications, allowing the content to be displayed in a much more immersive way”. The EB-W16 uses the lightweight Epson 3D glasses with USB rechargeable RF active shutter, that can be used up to 10 meters away from the projector.
