ERECA develops a fiber optic transmission system for the Panasonic AW-HE120 camera
The AW-HE integrated HD camera 120 Panasonic now incorporates a fiber optic transmitter unit, Top ET120, developed by the French ERECA, fruit of the technological collaboration between both companies.
The French company ERECA y Panasonic have reached a technological collaboration agreement whose result is the development of the Topas ET120 fiber optic transmission solution for the Panasonic AW-HE120 device, an integrated HD camera commonly used in reality shows and todonoticias channels.
Topas is a fiber optic transmission system, Designed specifically for the AW-HE120 integrated camera. Special design of the transmitter unit fits perfectly with the AW-HE120 camera base, since it has the same mechanical clamping interface. Transmitter modules are available in black and white.
The Topas system allows the use of integrated cameras in long distance applications, with the possibility of taking advantage of the fiber optic infrastructure already existing in the facilities. As a result, you have a multi-camera system with IP control, cost effective through fiber optic transmission.
Different versions of the transmitter module are available that allow the use of either conventional single-mode fiber through SC/APC connectors., or hybrid fiber with remote power via LEMO 3K connectors. The module transmits HD/SD-SDI signals, Composite video, Genlock, Control serie RS422 y Control Ethernet.
Optionally, Two bi-directional audio signals can also be transmitted with XLR connectors, or two channels with stereo microphone input and phantom power if required. Besides, you can convert the composite video channel into a return signal in SDI (to prompter or videoassist).
The system is completed with receiver boards and the Net Racer hood that provides power, cooling and monitoring control. The Net Racer Chest, rack width, offers 16 slots. SC/APC boards occupy one slot (except those that offer audio), while LEMO 3K boards occupy two slots each.
The AW-HE120 High Definition Integrated Camera, Available in pearl white or metallic black to best suit your decor, can be operated remotely over an IP connection, allowing you to easily configure a cost-effective, remote-controlled multi-camera system. Its 20x optical zoom lens covers a wide range of distances, from wide angle to telephoto, which is complemented by a 10x digital zoom function.
It also incorporates a four-position ND filter (Clear, 1/4, 1/16, 1/64) making it easy to adjust exposure. The image capturer, Also incorporated in some Panasonic P2 HD series camcorders, is based on three MOS U.L.T sensors 2,2 megapixels and type 1/3, that provide excellent image quality in Full HD.
