Axis M2014-E: bullet-type HDTV network camera for indoors and semi-outdoors
Network video manufacturer Axis Communications has designed the M2014-E compact bullet HDTV camera, a flexible and easy-to-install video surveillance solution in indoor and semi-outdoor environments.
M2014-E is the new network video surveillance camera from Axis Communications, small and compact size especially suitable for installation in shops, hotels or small offices that need an easy-to-use and economical security solution.
How Erik Frännlid explains, Director of Product Management at Axis Communications, “M2014-E is the smallest bullet HDTV network camera on the market, ideal for video surveillance in SMEs, “with a unique design concept comprising a main unit and a separate camera unit to offer maximum flexibility and ease of installation in areas where it was not possible before”.
This model offers HDTV 720p image quality at maximum speed, with multiple individually configurable video sources in H.264 compression, to optimize bandwidth and storage without compromising image quality, and also supports Motion JPEG.
M2014-E integrates a memory card slot and support for Axis Camera Companion, the video management video surveillance solution for SMEs (from one to sixteen cameras) from this Swedish manufacturer. Besides, includes an I/O port to connect devices, such as external sensors and relays, to activate alarms or access control and is supported by Axis Camera Station video management software.
The M2014-E camera unit is IP66 rated, which ensures protection against dust and heavy rain for semi-outdoor use; support for Axis' unique Corridor format, which allows the camera to provide a vertical field of view, as well as for Hosted Video and Onvif.
