Tourist content in augmented reality with Guideo app in Fitur 2014

Developed by the Cádiz company Vaivén Tourist and Cultural Management, The Guideo tourist application is an advanced virtual guide system that incorporates, for the first time in this sector, augmented reality content, as well as geopositioning, that will be presented at Fitur 2014.

The reference event for the international tourism industry, Feature, that will celebrate its edition 2014 of the 22 al 26 January at IFEMA – Madrid Fair, is the framework chosen to present the Guideo tourist app, developed by the Spanish startup Vaivén Tourism and Cultural Management (pavilion 2, stand 5B08), pioneer in the incorporation of augmented reality content in this sector.

Guideo is an advanced virtual guide system for tourist information and visitor assistance, currently available only for Apple mobile devices and will soon add Android, that incorporates technological innovations in the field of augmented reality, through recreations of scenes and monuments.

This application also has geopositioning technology, which allows the visitor to know their exact position thanks to the built-in GPS, showing you the best route to take your route, as well as the location of the tourist and cultural points of interest that are on said itinerary..

With the motto, “Because culture is not counted, you live”, Nadia Cervera and Luis López, founders of the company Vaivén Tourist and Cultural Management, They presented Guideo App for the city of Cádiz, although they have later added Seville and Malaga and is currently being developed for the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
