SICUR 2014 opens its doors today to show the innovation of the security industry in 360º

A total of 1.300 participating companies, associations, security professionals and users meet from today until today 28 February in the nineteenth edition of SICUR, the International Security Exhibition that, biennially and for professionals, organized by IFEMA – Madrid Fair, to showcase the latest technological developments, teams, solutions and services of this industry.

SICUR 2014 opens its doors today at the fairgrounds of IFEMA with the support of 1.300 companies, associations and security professionals who until now 28 February show their new products with a global and 360º vision of this industry, structured in technology (Security); fire and emergency safety, private and public security, and job security.

With this global and international vision, with the presence of companies from twenty-five countries, The event invites professionals in this sector to learn about specific proposals for application in vertical markets, new developments marked by innovation, as well as to analyze and debate the trends and challenges of the security industry in different forums, seminars and conferences created to foster collaboration opportunities.
In his previous call, in 2012, the contest received 38.840 professionals, and 2% more than in 2o1o, who knew about the offer 1.233 companies -524 direct participation- according to organizational sources.

Security innovation

As in previous editions and as one of the focuses of attention of the contest, the Gallery of new SICUR products 2014 has selected on this occasion a total of twenty-five innovations developed by national and international companies in this industry, among which stand out nine in the security environment and eight in fire and emergency safety.

The selected innovations in security focus on technology applied to improve the image quality of video surveillance cameras, as well as intelligent video analysis and identification of people and objects in low lighting conditions.

Added to these is a solution for access control by recognizing the iris of a person in motion and at a distance.; an electronic combination lock that interacts with a mobile phone device and other interesting products such as a next-generation drone aimed at various security activities or a new device to detect ketamine consumption.

In this area the selected products are AX-TV decoder, de Visual Tools; Axis Q1614 network camera; electronic lock wirelessly connected to Arcas Olle smartphones and tablets, SL; System UAS (Ummaned Aircraft System) Aeryon Scout de Tecosa – Siemens; Starlight cameras from Bosch Security Systems; Drugwipe 6S Ketamina test by Saborit International; el transdecodificador IP Videojet XTC XF de Bosch Security Systems, and Stanley Security's Eyelock access control solution.

The combination of different technologies also plays an important role in the advancement of the fire and emergency sector, as revealed by the new intelligent evacuation systems contemplated this year in the Gallery of new products., o the aspiration systems capable of differentiating smoke particles from dust o the new dry extinguishing nozzles that prevent damage to computer equipment.

SICUR Latin America

A few days before the celebration of SICUR 2014 The dates of the second edition of SICUR Latin America were also known., organized by IFEMA – Madrid Fair and FISA, the main Chilean operator of professional exhibitions, of the 15 al 17 October at the Espacio Riesco fairgrounds, in Santiago de Chile.

The international positioning of this contest, unique in its proposal on the Latin American continent, was supported by the participation of more than 120 exhibitors and the assistance of 6.000 professionals.
