WD premieres at SICUR 2014 the Purple line of hard drives for video surveillance

Purple is the new line of hard drives from 3,5 inches of large capacity and AllFrame and Advance Format technology, that WD has presented at the International Security Show, for video surveillance applications.

WD is presenting at SICUR 2014 the Purple family of storage systems, designed specifically for video surveillance applications, whether new businesses or already implemented. Available in capacities of 1 TB up to 4 TB, allow up to eight hard drives and 32 high definition video cameras.

AllFrame y AFT

WD Purple hard drives are equipped with a suite of exclusive WD technologies, including AllFrame and Advanced Format Technology (AFT).

AllFrame technology, combined with ATA streaming support, reduces video loss, assisting data flow and playback. WD Purple includes exclusive firmware updates, that protect against video pixelation and interruptions within the video surveillance system.

Advanced Format Technology (AFT) It is an effective format, used by WD and other manufacturers, which allows increasing area densities to continue expanding disk capacities.
