Axis Iberia deploys network video innovation at SICUR 2014 to celebrate its 15th anniversary
The Iberian subsidiary of Axis Communications is one of the main protagonists of the pavilion 10 of SICUR 2014, presiding over the entrance to it and celebrating innovation on its fifteenth anniversary in this market with the presentation of new products and network video solutions, and thirty from the Swedish multinational.
The nineteenth edition of SICUR has a special meaning for the Swedish multinational Axis Communications, which celebrates its thirty years of activity in the network video market and the fifteen of its subsidiary in the Iberian market.
It is not surprising that this year the stand (D02) of the company in the pavilion 10 of IFEMA is not only bigger (170 m2), but presides over the entrance to it in the central hallway. In this space and together with five of its partners, The company has deployed more than a hundred cameras from its wide range of network video, to which are added those displayed at other stands of its business partners and in one of the security forces vehicles..
As Juan Luis Brizuela points out, Business Development Director, Axis Communications Southern Europe, “Presence at SICUR is necessary for all those interested in keeping their knowledge of the latest trends and innovations related to the security market up to date.”. Es una oportunidad única para conocer las últimas novedades de producto y poder ver demostraciones en vivo de las capacidades que ofrecen nuestros productos”.
In this sense, The company's novelties in this event are the new models of the recently renewed range of PTZ domes in the Q604X series, the new models of the M30 series aimed at SMEs, and the latest AXIS Q1931 thermal camera.
As already reported by Digital AV Magazine, At the Axis Communications stand you can learn about the solutions of five of its application developers, as Ganetec Global Solutions, Herta Security, look at me, Netcamara y Lost.
A complete range for all sectors
The Axis Q60 series consists of the company's Q6042/-E/-C/-S models, with expanded D1 resolution and 36 optical zoom increases; Q6044/-E/-C/-S, with HDTV 720p resolution (1,3MP) and optical zoom 30 increases, and Q6045/-E/-C/-S cameras, with full HD resolution (1080p, 2MP) and optical zoom 20 increases, to offer network video surveillance solutions adapted to any environment.
In this sense, One aspect to highlight is that the Q60-S models They feature a stainless steel casing pressurized with nitrogen, Resists the corrosive effects of seawater or chemicals, which makes them ideal for remote surveillance and monitoring in nautical environments, miners, oil and gas platforms, and in manufacturing settings in medical sectors, chemical, pharmaceutical and food.
The new Q60 cameras are equipped with a powerful CPU (central processing unit) and a coprocessor, which allows you to obtain better image quality, with less noise, sharper and more efficient H.264 profile compression.
Other new features are the fixed cameras Q1614 and AXIS Q1614-E, the first of them chosen by the SICUR organization 2014 in the New Products Gallery, as it allows the identification of people and objects in difficult lighting conditions thanks to Lightfinder technology.
One of its innovations, is that these cameras capture fast movements in detail with twice as many frames as usual, with images with HDTV 720p resolution at 50 from 60 frames per second, double the conventional maximum speed. This ensures the capture of fast movements in detail so that, For example, the objects of an industrial production line can be easily identified.

Thanks to Wide Dynamic Range technology (WDR) with Axis dynamic capture, These cameras can handle scenes with complex lighting and high contrasts, like when sunlight creates very bright areas and very dark others, offering homogeneous images for the identification of people and objects.
Q1614/-E also incorporate Lightfider technology, allowing optimal and efficient operation of the camera in extreme low-light conditions with color images, an important element to achieve correct identification.
