Ingram Micro thanks and analyzes the positive results of the IMagine event 2014
In the second edition of IMagine event, Ingram Micro's AVPro and DC/POS divisions brought together 320 assistants and 27 exhibiting brands, showing a wide range of solutions for end users and giving practical workshops for professionals.
During the two days that the IMagine event had this year, celebrated the past 7 y 8 May in Torre Espacio Madrid, as reported on site Digital AV Magazine, A multitude of solutions were shown aimed at the end user and for different vertical markets., with the aim of bringing the Professional AV and automatic identification and point of sale product to all customers of Ingram Micro, that highlighted to the partners the existing synergies between the products of both business areas represented by the divisions AVPro y DC/POS.
The solutions exhibition, in which the technological collaborations of twenty-seven manufacturers were shown, It was completed with different workshops where attendees could learn about the most practical and technical aspects of these, as well as interact with the representatives of the companies that taught them.
As Jaime Soler highlighted in his opening conference, CEO of Ingram Micro, “The objective of this second edition of IMagine Event is to consolidate our AV Pro and DC/POS divisions, strengthening our offer in these markets, and show not only products, but solutions”, at a time when the market seems to see “the beginning of a change of cycle”.
To publicize the different solutions, The following spaces were recreated: a shop, a reception and hotel room, a control room, a museum, a gym, a reception and hotel room, a conference room, a supermarket, a company office, a warehouse, an airport hall and an extensive school; all of it, encompassing the different vertical markets (retail, corporate, education, health, logistics, hospitality and transportation), what Digital AV Magazine has analyzed in detail in different information.
These solutions are the result of the participation of the latest developments from twenty-seven manufacturers, like Acer, Open, Beabloo, BenQ, Canon, Datalogic, DigX, D-Link, HOW MUCH, Epson, Ergotron, HP, Intermec, Laforja, LG, Microsoft, Motorola, NEC, Nobo, Optoma, Philips, Smart, Sharp, Samsung, Toshiba, Vogel’s y Zebra.
Ingram Micro has highlighted the good reception that the practical workshops had by distributors, in which topics such as 'Beabloo radio and video analytics solutions for the retail environment' were analyzed; ‘Samsung interactive business solutions’; ‘Interactivity and touch solutions for eTILE from Aopen’; ‘Beabloo content management system for the educational environment’; 'Smart solutions for educational environments'; ‘NEC Hiperwall video wall solution for high availability environments’; ‘Laforja hospitality content management system’, and 'Smart and Microsoft Lync solutions for corporate environments'.
Thanks to the increase in manufacturers participating in this second edition and the new exhibition formula of IMagine event, Ingram Micro believes that “we have made a qualitative leap, both for showing the solutions by vertical markets, as per business model, highlighting the possibility of cross-selling, in each of the different scenarios focused on the end customer”.
