Dassault Systèmes expands 3DExperience with Simpack body simulation solutions

German body simulation developer Simpack has been acquired by Dassault Systèmes with whose solutions it will expand its 3DExperience platform and provide an integrated solution that accelerates the complete development of advanced systems.

Dassault Systèmes has purchased the German technology company that develops body simulation solutions Simpack, which will expand its technological offering in virtual multiphysics simulation to include body mechatronic systems, from virtual concept validation to real-time experience.

Simpack has more than 130 clients in the energy industry, automotive and railway, including Alstom, Bombardier, BMW, Daimler, Honda, Jaguar Land Rover, MAN and Vestas.

“The acquisition of Simpack, part of a long-term strategy to continue expanding the 3DExperience platform, enables a complete real and virtual product experience. Consumers expect cars, airplanes and, practically, any product, become more and more intelligent, safer, faster, quieter and more efficient. Simpack has demonstrated strong technological leadership, particularly in the field of nonlinear effects on complex models, such as friction and flexible structures, efficient numerical algorithms and real-time capabilities.
