German body simulation developer Simpack has been acquired by Dassault Systèmes with whose solutions it will expand its 3DExperience platform and provide an integrated solution that accelerates the complete development of advanced systems.

3Dexperience

Dassault Systèmes has bought the German technology company that develops body simulation solutions Simpack, which will expand its technological offer in virtual multiphysics simulation to include body mechatronic systems, from virtual concept validation to real-time experience.

Simpack has more than 130 customers in the energy industry, automotive and railway, including Alstom, Bombardier, BMW, Daimler, Sling, Jaguar Land Rover, MAN and Vestas.

Simpack body simulation"The acquisition of Simpack, part of a long-term strategy to further expand the 3DExperience platform, enables a complete real and virtual product experience. Consumers expect cars, aircraft and, practically, any product, be smarter and smarter, safer, faster, quieter and more efficient. That's why, companies need to do more than just design the products so that everything works together, from controls to motion, curvature or noise. They need to experience their products at the very moment they're creating them.", notes Bernard Charlès, President and CEO of Dassault Systèmes.

Simpack has demonstrated strong technological leadership, in particular in the field of nonlinear effects on complex models, such as friction and flexible structures, efficient numerical algorithms and real-time capabilities.

Dassault Systemses Target Zero Defect"It is currently gaining market share and will be reinforced by its technological synergies., commercial and operational with Dassault Systèmes. We possess similar technological cultures and a shared long-term commitment to scientific excellence. We will join forces and technologies to deliver superior virtual and physical experiences, bringing vertical solution experiences to the transportation industries, mobility, aerospace and defense, among others", comments Alex Eichberger, founder and CEO of Simpack.

With Simpack technologies improving the 3DExperience platform, Dassault Systèmes will offer a better integrated solution for the end-to-end development of advanced systems, combining virtual multiphysics simulation, accurate real-time simulation of mechatronic assemblies and control of intelligent systems.
